April 23rd, 2008 by Zeeshan Hasan

Finally Go4B (World Call cable internet) opens its eyes looks around and decide to reduce the internet Tariff to a very compatitve package plans so here is what Go4b – (Worldcall Broadband) is offering:

Go4B (Woldcall Cable Internet)  New Internet Tariff 2008

  • 1MB         – Unlimited – Rs.25 00
  • 512kbps  – Unlimited – Rs.1200
  • 256kbps  – Unlimited – Rs.1000
  • 128kbps  – Unlimited – Rs.600/

I have used Wateen, WOL DSL & PTCL if i compare to the service provided by Go4b – (Worldcall Broadband) with all the others then i would simply vote for Go4b – (Worldcall Broadband) and question will be why  so here is a comparative analysis that might help you before you sign up for an internet connection.

PTCL DSL goes unlimited after midnight

February 25th, 2008 by Zeeshan Hasan

I have received some good reports of PTCL DSL and some of the people using PTCL are quite satisfied with there service. No doubt PTCL charges are quite low and offer 30GB per month download for the first three months if your subscribe to PTCL DSL. Apart from that now PTCL has also  offered unlimited download between 1am – 8 am on all ptcl DSL packages with addition of 50 paisas per MB for additional Bandwidth.

PTCL packages

  • 256Kbps-  4GB Volume = Rs 1999
  • 512Kbps – 6GB Volume = Rs 1999
  • 1Mbps – Unlimited = Rs 4999

Each package comes with free modem / free installation if you sign up a one year contract. But either PTCL made a mistake on there website or its a weired package as 256Kbps and 512Kbps are both for Rs 1999 ?

PTCL DSL goes unlimited after midnight

So far good & Cheap DSL packages offered by ISP’s are :

  1. PTCL -
  2. LinkDotNet -
  3. Multinet -

LinkdotNet Bring Cheap DSL to Pakistan

February 16th, 2008 by Zeeshan Hasan

LinkdotNet an Egypt based company recently launched there operations in Pakistan. LinkdotNet one of the biggest ISP in Egypt was formed by a merger in June 2000, between Link Egypt and InTouch Communications to become LINKdotNET. In2007 LinkdotNet stepped in Pakistan and instead of investing in setting up a new infrastructure they acquired two of the top ISP’s in Pakistan WOL and Dancom .

LinkdotNet Bring Cheap DSL to Pakistan

LinkdotNet hold a strong market Position in Pakistan due to its parent company  Orascom Telecom which is also the parent company of Mobilink Pakistan(my fav company). Few months back LinkdotNet launched its DSL packages to Pakistan customers, and i must say the package offered by linkdotnet is way cheaper and way faster then any other ISP’s in Pakistan including Wateen Telecom which is still having a very negative reputation in Pakistan.

LinkDotNet Tarrif:

  • 256kbps DSL – Unlimited Data Limit – Rs 1200 / only
  • 512kbps DSL – Unlimited Data Limit – Rs 2000/ only
  • 1Mbps DSL – Unlimited Data Limit – Rs 3900 / only

Installation charges are I think Rs2000 and ofcourse Modem is free! [i paid 4000Rs for a Modem when i got DSL :( ...]
I had recently shifted to a cable internet package offered by World Call Cable Interent, and had shifted out of DSL package due to the data limit. I was previously using WOL DSL paying 2000Rs for a 512Kbps package with a 4GB data limit. Being addicted to internet it only took me 3 weeks to finish up the data limit and then refresh my account, keeping in view of my addiction to the net this had caused added cost to my Interent usage. So now , LinkdotNet has offered unlimited data usage on there DSL packages thus leaving behing, all DSL pakages offered by other ISP’s and even PTCL.

Before Getting DSL make sure

  • Your Phone Line should not have any Noise else your internet experience is ruined between PTCL & ISP
  • Noise in Phone lines causes multiple disconnections and slow speed access
  • Try to get a Ethernet based Modem from the ISP, USB based Modems suck big time and you cant make a network or attach wireless to it.
  • Never buy a DSL or internet connection with data limit you wont be able to download Movies, Music, Applications (I don’t buy DVD’s/CD’s  any more rather download latest movies / music from Torrents)
