a dejaVu – Monday

May 20th, 2008 by Zeeshan Hasan

Why does every Monday feels like a dejaVu ? You wake up and you think for a while and you can see the whole day in front of your eyes …. then there is a thought what if i am sick do i have a sick leave …. but no you can’t you have your bills to pay and responsibilities to fulfill …

You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.
Steve Jobs

I am not sure if i could ever understand what Steve Jobs meant by that …. finding something you love to do … being a successful CEO its quite easy to make such quotations which get read by thousands and maybe many like me get inspired and guided by them as well but what if Steve Jobs was not the CEO of Apple, what if his started company failed years back and he was no one then would his quotes make the same impressions that they make today ? Will his quote about finding what you love to do make any sense ?

a confession by Microsoft

May 16th, 2008 by Zeeshan Hasan

Today a weired thing happened for first time after two years my Windows Vista which came pre installed in my laptop crashed. I had been using it for an year now and so far strangely it didn’t cause any problems, i optimized it for high performance removed a huge junk of softwares pre-installed into it and shifted it to be in optimized high performance mode.

To be frank i was a bit satisfied with windows Vista. But today a strange thing happened, while working i was downloading some huge files via ftp and immediately a blue screen came with a message Memory Dump. Grrr ! the first thought in mind and concern was my data. To my luck the windows Vista recovered back and returned back to its desktop there crash agent opened who warned me that the windows didn’t shut down properly and you should scan to detect where the problem came from so i said yes go ahead the application scanned for a few minutes and then came up with a success message that the problem of the crash has been discovered. I was quite excited that they have gone so smart but to my shock the message the gave me was
“The problem was caused by Windows Vista, which was created by Microsoft Corporation”

for a moment i though were they kidding me, i am using a software that is created by Microsoft Corporation and when it crashed the reason that the software detected was the software its self . Hahah so was this a confession by Microsoft!
