So after 3+ years of blogging my blog is almost consuming 50Mb of space and today i received a nice sweet e-mail from the host that i am out of disk usage ! doh ! now what ! Well taking analytically i have a number of options either i stop posting or delete some stuff from the past which i wont as archives are sometimes interesting to read and review , or i should buy more space which will be double and will ad more cost or i should switch this domain to my dreamhost hosting account, which has plenty of space i mean plenty, more then i need but the only concerned issue is downtime which is common at dreamhost & my SEO i hope it does not get disturbed as my site is running on a Page Rank 5 so to make any technical decision now i have to think twice !

A good news, finally my ISP [WOL] has decided to reduce the cost of DSL, now they are offering 512k with 4GB bandwith limit for 1999 only. previously i was paying 1999 for a 256k connection with a 2 GB limit. So the deal is quite good double the speed with double the amount of bandwidth pretty good ! Well they are not nice people to do so the fact is this decision came with the launch of DSL packages from PTCL which is offering free installation and a free modem with each package and are offering speeds up to 1MB for 4999 which is the fastest DSL home package available so far in Pakistan ! But still i am doubtfull of PTCL services, so i wont shift to them, the easy test i did on them was called there customer service at 11 at night and no one picked the phone, so it clearly shows that even after getting privitized things havent changed in PTCL.

Things on the internet scene are growing pretty fast, the most exciting company comming to town is Wateen Telecom which is planning to launch a wifi broadband internet first time in Pakistan. I did get a chance to test Wateen Wifi Internet and its was pretty good for a wireless wifi with speed upto 1MB , but the issue was repeated disconnection which were quite annoying. The confirmed news is that they will be launching the corporate packages by end July or first week of August. They have already provided demo lines to many mid sized corporate firms, so lets see what they come up with.

Spamming on skype begins ! dam you spammers, after receiving this i checked on the internet and found out that i was not the only one many people have received spam messages on skype !

Any how i just checked on the skype options and there is a simple solutions to protect from spamming on skype. By default skype comes with the option for anyone to IM you or call you, all you have to do is go to >> tools >> options & then >> privacy and there on the check box  select  received messages & calls from only people in your contact list  ! and this will stop the spamming on skype !
